Dr Lucy Whitfield

MA VetMB DLAS PGCert(VetEd) FHEA MRCVS

Director and co-founder, OWL Vets Ltd


Qualified from the University of Cambridge, Lucy started in general practice before becoming a full-time laboratory animal vet. Passionate about animal welfare, Lucy is a Diplomate of the RCVS and contributes to the field through membership of professional associations in the UK and beyond.

Lucy’s children teach her lots about technology and she’s keen to embrace new opportunities to deliver outstanding NVS support, teaching and learning using the innovative digital platforms now available to us. Please feel free to contact me for an informal chat about how we can help you.

Dr Olga Woolmer

DVM MRCVS

Director and co-founder, OWL Vets Ltd


Olga qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1999 and after starting her career as an Animal Technician, she joined GSK as an Animal Technician in 2015 where she supported a range of projects in the areas of DMPK, Safety Assessment, Safety Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Respiratory, Biopharm and Immuno-Inflammation and Pre-Clinical Imaging, it was also here where she also gained her full RCVS Membership.

In 2013 Olga joined the team of Named Vets at the RVC and as part of this team provided Veterinary services to academia, industry CROs and government establishments.

Throughout her career Olga has worked with a wide variety of species ranging from fish and amphibians, birds, rodents and rabbits, to pigs, non-human primates and farm animals that are used in biomedical research to improve the lives of patients and animals.
